On Île Saint-Louis, Jonathan Anderson presents Dior Homme Pre-Fall 2026, extending the direction initiated in Spring/Summer 2026. The collection examines the meeting point between formal structure and casual references, shaping a vocabulary where the precision of Dior’s tailoring intersects with elements associated with campus style.
The opening look introduces the tone: a royal-blue coat and jacket embroidered with eighteenth-century floral motifs appears with faded denim and a taupe suede messenger bag. The contrast between construction and informality creates a clear framework for the season. Anderson brings back the oversized cargo shorts seen in SS26, now marked with a large heraldic emblem and paired with a relaxed knit and wine-colored loafers — a continuation of his approach to proportion and visual impact.
The collection shifts toward more streamlined silhouettes, maintaining references to Ivy League dressing without becoming nostalgic. A jersey sweatshirt trimmed in forest green, with “Dior” at the collar, is shown with retro gym shorts and structured sneakers. A shirt-and-blazer combination — striped button-down, knitted henley and navy jacket — is worn with pale-yellow shorts, forming a look that reads as a reinterpreted uniform.
Denim remains central throughout. Slim tailored denim suits, faded cargo shorts with embroidery, and carpenter trousers with reinforced knees appear with sculpted blazers or striped shirting. In another direction, brown tweed is paired with loose denim, suede loafers and a shoulder bag with a controlled drape — a consistent example of Anderson’s interest in aligning formality with ease.
The Pre-Fall 2026 collection builds directly on the ideas introduced in SS26, but with a more decisive attitude toward contrast and scale. It reinforces Anderson’s developing Dior framework: structured tailoring, campus-influenced elements, and a deliberate interplay between refinement and informal construction.
The next step in this trajectory has already been set: Dior Cruise 2026, scheduled for May in Los Angeles, with details yet to be revealed.
