Schiaparelli Reinvents Le Secret Bag in a Mini Version for Spring Summer 2026

For Spring Summer 2026, Schiaparelli introduces a smaller interpretation of its Le Secret Bag with new finishes and materials, keeping the house signature hardware and surrealist references at the centre of the design.

Schiaparelli is updating its Le Secret Bag for Spring Summer 2026 with a mini format and new finishes. The release keeps the core elements of the line while shifting the scale and proportions for daily wear.

Under creative director Daniel Roseberry, the bag is reworked with a more compact silhouette designed to sit close to the body. The handle is elongated for shoulder wear, while the shape is sized to rest comfortably in the crook of the arm.

The defining feature remains the hand shaped brass padlock. The hardware references a 1938 Haute Couture bag clasp introduced by Elsa Schiaparelli, turning an everyday object into a house signature. For the season, the padlock appears in hammered or polished brass, and also in a hand painted enamel version.

The Spring Summer 2026 offer includes two silhouettes and five new models. One direction focuses on glossy black and white woven leather, handcrafted in Italy using an intrecciato technique, with an unlined interlacing designed to develop patina over time. Polished brass fittings continue the house anatomical codes, including ear, nose and eye details rendered in hand painted glass.

Alongside the graphic woven versions, Schiaparelli adds three calfskin colourways in a restrained palette. Oatmeal cream, deep black and olive brown are positioned as versatile options intended to move from day to evening. Brass eyelet chains punctuate the tightened sides, and a gold key detail completes the closure.

Launched in 2023, Le Secret continues to evolve through material and functional updates while keeping its signature hardware and surrealist identity. In mini form, the bag stays focused on construction, detail and the precise codes that make it immediately recognisable.
